I know you’re a great single mom, but you may still be struggling to balance caring for your child(ren) and nurturing your own growth.

The Gentle Reset: A Checklist for Moms Ready to Reconnect with Themselves

It’s time to start harmonizing your life as a single mom.

I understand. You’ve got a lot on your plate, sis. You find a way to support everyone except… you put yourself on the back burner.

You are a resilient mom parenting alone. You make things happen for your children, family, and friends, yet after the dust settles, you’re left to quietly pick up the pieces. But what about your needs? People compliment you on how well you “keep it all together,” but inside, you know the truth: at home, things often feel far from being together. As a single mom, you pour your heart into supporting your children emotionally, even while you’re struggling to manage your own mental health. Running on coffee and missing out on sleep, you wonder how much longer you can stay afloat.

You carry the weight of feeling emotionally stuck. You’re doing your best to heal from deep wounds of rejection and abandonment, yet forgiving, trusting, and moving forward still seem out of reach. You wonder if true love will ever find you again. Frustration and shame creep in over the challenges of co-parenting, and just when life begins to feel steady, another disagreement or complication with your co-parent knocks you off balance. It seems like every step forward is met with another setback.

Surviving and Thriving

You can prioritize your own needs while guiding your child(ren) toward success—both in and out of the classroom. Deep down, you know it’s possible, but you don’t have to figure it out alone. With the right support, you can create peace within yourself and your co-parent, letting go of the things you cannot change. You can raise happy, healthy children while finding harmony in caring for yourself and your family.

It’s time to choose you—without guilt.

It’s time to put yourself back on the front burner.

It’s time to believe you are worthy.

Hello, Lovely.

I’m Tecora - your Mental Health Advocate.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, I published my first book, Surviving & Thriving After the L, through my company, Type & Triumph, LLC. As an author and mental health advocate, I have watched single moms who are parenting alone struggle with managing their responsibilities, handling life’s obligations, and prioritizing their needs. It may not feel like your needs are a priority when so many depend on you. Saying “yes” and doing everything for everyone has become second nature. As a single mom, you feel guilt and shame about putting your needs first. You go from day to day trying to figure out how to make your life better. All you want is more peace, a supportive community for your child(ren), time for yourself, and happiness.
It’s time to start being just as wonderful to yourself as you are to everyone else.

What My Clients Say

Monique P

“Chapter 5 Type of Therapy Matters”- one thing that stood out to me in Surviving & Thriving After The L was Tecora’s ideals on Therapy, I liked that she highlighted the misconceptions on therapy and that we had to have one therapist our whole lives. I am a believer in “if it fits, I sit” and therapy is much like that. Tecora says that “you can outgrow your therapist and need to work with someone else” and that is entirely true. The grace in which Tecora made this statement created a safe alternative to shop around of different therapists if the one you have is not working out. She suggested finding a therapist who specializes in specific traumas which I totally agree with. She is very knowledgeable and insightful with her suggestions. I would recommend this book to those who have suffered loss or the loss of any sort!"

“We've all experienced losses in life. From a loved one passing to a friendship ending to a romantic relationship completely falling apart, loss is all around. In her book, Tecora Harvey writes about ways to deal with and overcome loss. She is candid about her own experiences with loss and invites readers to journey with her to healing. If you've experienced loss, you are not alone. Grab a copy of Tecora's book and see how she was able to survive and thrive after the L.”
